Swiss employment level rises in third quarter

Swiss flagNEW YORK (Forex News Now) – The Swiss employment level rose in the third quarter, data showed in one of Thursday’s major realtime forex news events.

The report from the country’s Federal Statistical Office showed that 4.08 million Swiss were employed in the third quarter, up from 4.06 million in the second quarter.

The figure was higher than expected, as analysts had forecast a drop to 3.98 million employed.

The Swiss franc fell against the greenback in currency market trading despite the good news: at around 10:00 A.M. GMT, USD/CHF traded at 1.0013, up 0.527 percent on the day.
