NEW YORK (Forex News Now) – The FNN team has prepared a list of the top 10 economic events most likely to impact USD and make realtime forex news during the coming week, Dec. 13 – Dec. 17.

All times are given in GMT.

1. Producer Price Index: Tuesday, 3:30 P.M. The Department of Labor is scheduled to release its monthly producer price index, which shows the change in the price of finished goods and services sold by producers. The date is a key indicator of consumer inflation. Previous: 0.4%.

2. Retail Sales: Tuesday, 3:30 P.M.The Census Bureau will release monthly figures on the change in the total value of retail sales. The data is the primary indicator of consumer spending. Previous: 1.2%.

3. Business Inventories: Tuesday, 5:00 P.M.The Census Bureau will release monthly figures on the change in the total value of goods held by manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. The data is a key indicator of future business spending. Previous: 0.9%.

4. Federal Interest Rates: Tuesday, 9:15 P.M.The Federal Reserve is set to determine the new level of interest rates. Previous: 0.25%; Forecast: 0.25%.

5. Consumer Price Index: Wednesday, 3:30 P.M.The Bureau of Labor Statistics is scheduled to release monthly data on the change in the price of goods and services purchased by consumers, which account for the majority of overall inflation. Previous: 0.2%.

6. Industrial Production: Wednesday, 4:15 P.M. The Federal Reserve will release monthly data on the change in inflation-adjusted value of output from manufacturers, mines and utilities, a key indicator of economic health. Previous: 0.0%.

7. Crude Oil Inventories: Wednesday, 5:30 P.M.The Energy Information Administration will release its weekly data on the change in the number of barrels of crude oil held by commercial firms. Previous: -3.8m.

8. Unemployment Claims: Thursday, 3:30 P.M.The Department of Labor is set to release its weekly data on the number of people who filed for unemployment insurance for the first time, a key indicator of overall economic health. Previous: 421,000.

9. Housing Starts: Thursday, 3:30 P.M.The Census Bureau will release data on the annualized amount of new residential buildings that began construction the previous month, a key indicator of economic health. Previous: 0.52m.

10. Natural Gas Storage: Thursday, 5:30 P.M.The Energy Information Administration will release data on the change in the number of cubic feet of natural gas held during the past week. Previous: -89b.
