U.S. initial jobless claims drop more than forecast

Indicator analysis - workers queingNEW YORK (Forex News Now) – The number of U.S. workers filing new claims for unemployment benefits dropped more than forecast last week, official data showed on Thursday in one of the day’s spotlight realtime forex news events.

In a key report for indicator analysis, the U.S. Labor Department said there were a seasonally adjusted 445,000 initial jobless claims last week, after an upwardly revised 456,000 during the previous week.

Analysts had expected a more modest drop in claims to 454,000 last week, two currency market trading news outlets reported.
