British Pound Weekly Outlook: The Top 10 GBP related events Dec. 13 – Dec. 17

GBP OutlookNEW YORK (Forex News Now) – The FNN team has prepared a list of the top 10 economic events most likely to impact GBP and make realtime forex news during the coming week, Dec. 13 – Dec. 17.

1. BOE Quarterly Bulletin: Monday, 2:01 A.M.The Bank of England is due to release its quarterly bulletin, with commentary on monetary policy and market developments.

2. Consumer Price Index: Tuesday, 11:30 A.M.National Statistics will release monthly data on the year-on-year change in the price of goods and services purchased by consumers, which accounts for a majority of overall inflation. Previous: 3.2%.

3. Core CPI: Tuesday, 11:30 A.M.National Statistics will release monthly data on the year-on-year change in the price of goods and services purchased by consumers, excluding food, energy, alcohol and tobacco. Previous: 2.7%.

4. Retail Price Index: Tuesday, 11:30 A.M.National Statistics will release monthly data on the year-on-year change in the price of goods and services purchased by consumers specifically for the purpose of consumption. Previous: 4.5%.

5. Average Earnings Index: Wednesday, 11:30 A.M.National Statistics will release monthly data on the three-month change in the price businesses and the government pay for labor. Previous: 2.0%.

6. Unemployment Rate: Wednesday, 11:30 A.M.National Statistics will release monthly data on the percentage of the work force that is unemployed. Previous: 7.7%.

7. Retail Sales: Thursday, 11:30 A.M.National Statistics will release monthly data on the change in the total value of inflation-adjusted retail sales. Previous: 0.5%.

8. Consumer Inflation Expectations: Thursday, 11:30 A.M.The Bank of England will release quarterly data on the percentage consumers expect the price of goods and services to change in the next year. Previous: 3.4%.

9. Consumer Confidence: Friday, 2:01 A.MNationwide Building Society is set to release its monthly level of composite index based on surveys of consumers, a leading indicator of consumer spending. Previous: 52.

10. BOE Financial Stability Report: Friday, 2:01 A.M.The Bank of England is set to release its biannual report on the stability of the financial system.
