PepeCash definition, predictions and analysis for 2018

When you think of pepetrading things such fun, memepower, strong community, hope for profit and an interest in Blockchain come to mind. PepeCash exists today because there was ‘pepe the frog’ that started off as an online game where people would create their own pepes. It is the making of Rare Pepes actually rare that made pepe trading possible. It is the Pepe Cash and Rare Pepes which are the core of the pepe mines.

How is PepeCash traded?

Rare Pepe cards are assets which utilize counterparty blockchains. Counterparty assets are held within the Bitcoin Blockchain inside the traditional BTC transactions. Unlike the colored coins, Rare Pepes are not tethered to a specific BTC. This means that people can transfer Bitcoin without affecting the value of Rare Pepe. The technology behind PepeCash and Rare Pepes allow them to be traded on a decentralized counterparty-based exchange called DEx. On this exchange, traders can sell or buy extremely rare pepes in XCP denominations.

How has it grown?

Because Rare Pepes are rare, a member of the Pepe community can create an interesting meme in anticipation that it is picked by the community. He or she will then determine the exact number of copies of their pepes that can exist. Under the meme, something like ‘rareness 132’ is written. This can be proved and verified on the Bitcoin Blockchain. It means that while it is possible to copy and paste the meme as many times as possible, only 132 people can actually own it. Such a meme is certified and signed by the creator. To make the currency deflationary, when pepe cash is created, more is burnt to create room for the new entrants.

At first, pepe memes were used for fun. Celebrities soon jumped in and started creating their own memes which propelled the pepe memes and Kek the god to greater heights. The Rare Pepe and PepeCash transformed the way people viewed this meme, at least those interested in it economically. These two are actively traded alongside each other in the market. In 2016, PepeCash was trading for $0.000087 per token. In June 2017, it reached its peak in terms of market capitalization and price. It reached a high price of $0.0285 and market capitalization stood at $19,948,385.

What makes PepeCash so interesting?

You can easily be fooled by how Rare Pepe looks on the surface. However, under the surface, it is one of the most weirdly exciting projects in the Cryptocurrency market. It exhibits new possibilities for digital asset collection on the Blockchain. It also opens up digital economies that don’t require permission from anyone in order to exist. While Bitcoin offers a currency that is stateless and Ethereum one based on a decentralized computer, PepeCash brings on board a fun, sustainable and scalable business model.

If you can remember how Dogecoin reached its heights, you will agree that PepeCash has similar ingenious characteristics if not more. This Cryptocurrency has a strong and amazing community backing it and good meme.

How does 2018 look like for PepeCash?

On 10th December 2017, PepeCash market capitalization was $61,102,302 an equivalent of 4,416 BTC or 2,929,888 XCP. The volume moved on that day was $162,324 which is equivalent to 11.73 BTC. The price of the crypto fell to $0.08119 coming from a high of $0.1023 the previous day. Unlike a majority of new cryptocurrencies, PepeCash has seen worse and better days. Its price has been as low as $0.000246 this year and it has reached a high of $0.285 and then falling again. It seems like it will be entering 2018 having weathered strong price currents of 2017. With the fun and innovativeness by its side, this is one of the cryptos to watch in 2018.
